The Parent Staff Association (PSA) is a committee of parents and staff of the school.  We raise much needed funds to provide equipment and resources which the school would otherwise be unable to afford.  We also raise money to pay for events such as Science Week and Book Week and to provide the children with treats such as donuts at Chanukah.

Last year we proudly gave the school a cheque for £10,000 and we hope that we will be able to donate a similar amount this year.

We hold many types of events.  Last year we held an evening with Skittleman where guests had a fantastic time playing games, doing quizzes and singing karaoke, an Indulgence Evening where ladies came along to get pampered, a Bingo Evening, a Chanukah Gift Fair and of course our biggest fundraiser of the year – the Annual Fun Day which takes place in the summer. 

We raise money in other ways too.  This year we are selling a recipe book with recipes donated by children, parents and grandparents of the school.  We have also held a photo sitting where families came along to be photographed by a professional portrait photographer and later had the opportunity to purchase the portraits in time for gifts for Chanukah.

As in previous years we are selling a calendar which is very popular as it also serves as a notice of early school closing times, Yom Tov dates and Shabbat times as well as showing the birthday of every child in the school.

We also organise Birthday Books – a scheme where parents are given the opportunity to donate money towards books to go into their child’s class room. The children are presented with their book(s) during school assembly and then get to take them home for a few days to read before returning it to the classroom where it can be read by all the children.

The PSA don’t just raise money for the school.  Committee members are always available to help set up and serve refreshments at events such as the Chagigat Siddur and Chagigat Chumash and other school shows and events.  We also help set up and serve during the mock sedarim that are held in school every year for the children.

So far this school year we have held a Fireworks Evening which was a huge success and had a fantastic turnout.  Despite the terrible weather great fun was had by all.  We have also had our annual Chanukah Gift Fair which was very popular and successful both socially and financially. 

 The PSA currently has 20 members but anyone is welcome to attend our monthly meetings.
