HJPS: Governing body vision

A Jewish school for Jewish children”

Safeguarding

Hertsmere Jewish Primary School is committed to ensuring the welfare and safety of all children in school and believe that protecting children is everyone's responsibility.

Hertsmere Jewish Primary School, follows the Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children Board procedures.  The school will, in most circumstances, endeavour to discuss all concerns with parents about their children.  However, there may be exceptional circumstances when the school will discuss concerns with Children, Schools and Families and/or the Police without parental knowledge (in accordance with Child Protection procedures).

The school will, of course, always aim to maintain a positive relationship with all parents. The school’s Child Protection policy is available on request.

Values

At Hertsmere Jewish Primary School we believe in focussing on the child.  We work within Government Regulations and also as part of the United Synagogue family.  We share an outward facing view toward the needs of the Community, taking a central position in religious terms to ensure an impact on community growth and observance.  We work with equal professionalism and standards for both Jewish and secular learning and seek to continually improve by way of constant self evaluation.

Learning Environment

We actively encourage a learning environment filled with joy, confidence, trust and respect.

Graduates Prepared For The Future

When our children leave HJPS they will confidently play a part in the community with a solid foundation for later Jewish engagement.  We positively work towards high standards of behaviour which was referred to and acknowledged in our Ofsted inspection.

The Future

We believe that the future of HJPS should be filled with excitement as we respond to the changing environment embracing it with the innovative approach necessary.

We will build on our unders
tanding of rights and responsibilities, in a partnership between parents and school and are actively working together and improving communications with parents and local communities.

In every respect we will always be p
utting education at the top of the agenda
